Internationalization

Target audience

Primarily administrative staff at all levels who work with internationalization.

Focus areas

The group is looking at topics that reflect the extensive changes in Nordic and European research and education. Joint degrees, double degrees, multiple degrees, strategic networks and alliances, and the international mobility of doctoral candidates, researchers, and students contribute to new, dynamic, workspaces which are becoming the playground for a growing number of NUAS member institutions.

Activity goals for 2021‒2022

  • Internationalisation group will arrange two free webinars on 15.12.2021 and 8.2.2022 for NUAS member universities’ international relations managers and practitioners under the title Nordic dialogue on responsible university internationalisation in a changing world.
  • The webinars will display relevant national structures and guidelines in the Nordic countries, first on national level and then on university level in the format of workshop.
  • The group meets regularly online and after February webinar is ready to start planning a joint webinar in sustainable internationalisation/future (preferably under the same main theme if possible) with Sustainability Group eg. for autumn 2022 and an on-site seminar later on (Spring 2023?) with International Admission and Recognition of Qualifications group in on of the themes they have preliminary mentioned.
